Palace reserves got their first run-out of the pre-season at Woking yesterday, but were beaten by two first-half goals.
With the more experienced second-stringers aiming to battle their way into the line-up for Saturday's match at Ipswich, it was a very young side that played at Kingfield.
Woking’s first came from the penalty spot after 36 minutes – ex-Arsenal midfielder Ian Selley striking the ball firmly past Cedric Berthelin.
And the game was effectively wrapped up just before the break when Justin Richards added the second for Woking.
