But despite their off-field troubles the Eagles have lost just four games since then, reaching the last 16 of the FA Cup, and Warnock hopes it will be payback time at Glanford Park.
"Saturday is the most important day for us now because Scunthorpe rubbed our nose in it down here, that was a really embarrassing game," he said.
"If I hadn't known our chairman Simon Jordan I think I would have walked out that night because it was one of the poorest performances in my career.
"So I hope the lads are ready now because we've got to go up there and get a result at Scunthorpe."
