Theo Robinson's solitary strike proved enough for Millwall as they beat struggling Crystal Palace 1-0 in the south London derby. Robinson latched onto Steve Morison's flick-on and applied a cool finish to leave the Eagles without a win in five matches. Patrick McCarthy spurned a glorious opportunity for Palace with half-time fast approaching, blazing high over David Forde's goal from just six yards. But Millwall took the lead in the 53rd courtesy of Robinson's second league goal of the season. Morison outmuscled Julian Bennett and nodded the ball on with his head for the fast-moving Robinson, who rounded Julian Speroni with ease and slid the ball into an empty net. Palace had another great opportunity with Forde doing brilliantly to deny Pablo Counago and then Wilfried Zaha on the follow-up as the home side piled on the pressure during the closing stages. Their misery was complete when Claude Davis was sent off for an alleged stamp with seconds left to play.
