Here is a list of the playoff contenders and how they get to the playoffs:
Crystal Palace:
Advance to playoffs with a win or
Draw and have either Bolton or Forest draw or lose or
Lose and have either Bolton or Forest lose.
Bolton:
Advance to playoffs with a win and keep goal advantage over Forest orBolton draws and both Forest and Leicester draw.
Nottingham Forest:
Advance with a win or draw and a Bolton loss or
If Bolton wins, Forest must win an overcome a three goal differential.
Leicester City:
Advance with a win and a Bolton loss or draw.
Both Forest and Leicester will be following the happenings at the Reebok and Selhurst Park closely but must take care of their business on the pitch first. A draw or loss will eliminate both of them from the playoffs so they must play each other for the win. There will be no sitting back and relaxing.
Bolton takes on Cardiff at home while Crystal Palace hosts Peterborough. Palace should not take Peterborough lightly just because they are near the bottom of the table. Peterborough is in a tie with Barnsley for the last relegation spot and is only ahead by goal difference. Peterborough has everything to gain and nothing to lose so they will go for it and fight to the end. It should be an exciting finish to the Championship season so sit back and enjoy the drama & excitement.
