Palace will not be offering a deal to veteran keeper Shaka Hislop, chairman Simon Jordan has revealed.
The 36-year-old stopper had appeared to be on the brink of a permanent move to Selhurst after enjoying a successful trial during the Eagles’ pre-season tour of Germany.
But Hislop played no part in last night’s friendly defeat against Inter Milan, and Jordan has confirmed the club are no longer interested in signing him.
"I think Shaka will sign for someone else – I do not believe we are doing a deal with him," Jordan told Sky Sports News.
"We have two goalkeepers [Gabor Kiraly and Julian Speroni] and the idea was for one of them to depart before we signed another one.
"That situation has not manifested and, although I don't know whom Shaka will sign for, he is no longer playing for us."
