Tony Popovic has picked up a nasty-looking injury during Australia’s 4-3 Confederations Cup defeat to Germany.
The central defender is expected to miss the rest of the tournament after damaging his ankle in a challenge during the second-half of the Aussies' opening game.
The seriousness of the knock is not yet known, but if it keeps Popovic out of action for more than a couple of weeks then he could find himself dropping further down the central defence pecking order.
