Troubled winger Ryan Hall has been loaned to League Two side Dagenham and Redbridge, just days after becoming embroiled in off-the-pitch controversy.
Earlier this week, the 20-year-old was caught up in a five-a-side match that turned sour when a security guard was hospitalised after an alleged assault.
Hall has now joined the Daggers on a one month loan deal, though Palace boss Neil Warnock insists the five-a-side incident has had no bearing on Hall's temporary departure from Selhurst Park.
Warnock told the Croydon Guardian: "I just feel that Ryan needed some games and that is the only motivation behind my decision."
