The group, CPFC 2010, is made up of local businessmen and was named as the administrators' preferred bidders at the end of March.
The Eagles endured a torrid season after their points deduction saw them change from play-off hopefuls to relegation candidates, and manager Neil Warnock then left for London rivals Queens Park Rangers.
They survived relegation on the final day of the season after a 2-2 draw with Sheffield Wednesday saw their South Yorkshire counterparts end the season in the drop zone instead.
