Palace fans will have to dig deeper into their pockets to see the team play next season, with ticket prices hiked by an astonishing 75%.
Everyone knew the pleasure of watching the Eagles’ return to the Premiership would come at a cost, but few predicted promotion would result in Selhurst Park becoming among the most expensive grounds in the country to visit.
The cheapest adult ticket now available at Palace will set you back a princely £30, and get you into either the Holmesdale Lower or Family Enclosure. That’s £4 more expensive than it costs a home fan to get into Old Trafford, and £2 more than the cheapest ticket available to get into Highbury. Last season, the cheapest adult ticket at Palace was £18.
That leaves fans in the Holmesdale facing a 67% increase on last season. However, supporters hoping to watch from the Arthur Wait Stand will be hit even harder. Match-day prices for that area of the ground were £20 during our 2003/04 promotion campaign. That has now rocketed to £35 – a weighty increase of 75%. Away fans visiting SE25 will also be charged £35.
These stiff price rises are likely to see season ticket sales soar, with the cheapest season tickets working out at £23.68 per match.
