Palace have been knocked back in their attempt to sign Celtic striker Derek Riordan on loan.
The Eagles had hoped to arrange a temporary deal for the 23-year-old, but Celtic are only willing to do a permanent deal.
Several other clubs, including Championship rivals Burnley and Plymouth, are believed to be interested in Riordan.
