Crystal Palace defender Paddy McCarthy is looking forward to the forthcoming season and working with the new management team of George Burley and Dougie Freedman. Former Scotland boss Burley was appointed Eagles boss last month and named ex-Palace striker Freedman as his assistant. "George is really enthusiastic, he's got a great track record in the Championship and I'm sure it will be really enjoyable working under him," McCarthy told the club's official website. "Dougie has done a lot of work in training with us and it's been fantastic because he is starting out in his coaching career and is really enthusiastic as well, and has some great ideas. "I can't wait for the season to start."
