Blackburn Rovers have released Matt Jansen after the former Palace striker asked for his contract to be annulled.
The 28-year-old was one of England’s brightest striking prospects before suffering severe head injuries in a motorcycle crash in 2002.
Since coming back from those injuries, Jansen has started just 13 Premiership matches for Rovers.
The forward is now looking for a new club where he can enjoy more regular first team football.
