Gareth Southgate has handed full England debuts to both Marc Guehi and Kyle Walker-Peters, who have been named in the starting XI for Saturday's friendly against Switzerland.
21-year-old Guehi was named in Southgate's original squad as a reward for his impressive performances in his first season with Crystal Palace, while Walker-Peters was called up following the withdrawals of both Trent Alexander-Arnold and Reece James through injury.
They won't be waiting long for their first taste of action as both Guehi and Walker-Peters have been named in Southgate's starting lineup for Saturday's friendly.
It could be a busy few days for Walker-Peters as the 24-year-old Southampton man is the only natural right-back in Southgate's squad for this international break, in which England will also welcome the Ivory Coast to Wembley.
Guehi's Palace team-mate, Tyrick Mitchell, is expected to make his debut in one of the new two fixtures, rotating with Luke Shaw at left-back as the Manchester United man has only recently recovered from Covid-19.
Meanwhile, Conor Gallagher makes his first start for England having made his debut from the bench in last year's 10-0 win over San Marino from the bench.
England lineup to face Switzerland: Pickford; Walker-Peters, Stones, Coady, Guehi, Shaw; Henderson, Gallagher; Mount, Kane, Foden
