Inter Milan have abandoned their pre-season tour of England – including next Wednesday night’s match at Palace – amid fears about security.
Inter had also been due to play friendlies against Portsmouth, Leicester and Norwich, but have decided not to travel because of the growing threat of terrorism in the UK.
"Football takes a step back because of increasing serious events which touch the sensitivity of everyone. For this reason, and given the situation, the club has decided to cancel the team's tour of England," read an Inter statement on the club’s official website.
"Inter will continue pre-season preparations in Brunico next week, with a new series of friendly matches to be planned."
