Hull v Palace – Team news preview

Last updated : 13 January 2006 By Nik Taylor

The question every Palace fan is asking at the moment is ‘how long can the winning run continue?’

Having won the last five in a row without ever playing brilliantly, the Eagles now face a trip to the KC Stadium as we attempt to make up some ground on the top two.

On paper it's a very winnable game - but Palace's away form has been patchy this season and Hull showed on their visit to Selhurst that they are a tough side to break down.

Iain Dowie has a couple of players back for tomorrow’s game. Aki Riihilahti returned from injury in the 4-1 cup win over Northampton and should be good for at least a place on the bench. Clinton Morrison is back from suspension and will expect to start.

However, Marco Reich is still out on the sidelines and Fitz Hall also misses out after picking up one yellow card too many. Also missing out through knocks are Tony Popovic, Mikele Leigertwood and Tom Soares.

Hull have made a couple of new signings this week and both are eligible to play tomorrow. Strikers Jon Parkin and Darryl Duffy have joined from Macclesfield and Falkirk, respectively.

However, City boss Peter Taylor has a long list of injured players, including key men Andy Dawson, Ben Burgess, Ian Ashbee and Steve McPhee.

Probable Palace XI:

Kiraly
Boyce Ward Hudson Borrowdale
Andrews Hughes Watson McAnuff
Johnson Morrisson
