Johnson was on loan at Cardiff last season where he was awarded cult status, he became a loveable character and rewarded the Bluebirds with two goals. From a football point of view though that was a poor return and the Cardiff fans were not sorry to see him leave.

Boss Neil Warnock said: "We've had a phone call about him from his agent - but we don't know if we are going to follow it up.

"It's an option."

Johnson is likely to be on decent wages at Fulham and Palace would struggle to match them.
