Eagles track non-league ace

Palace boss Peter Taylor is pondering a move for non-league star Dave Martin.

The
Dartford midfielder has trained with both the Eagles and MIllwall recently and the Ryman League side are now waiting to see whether either side will make a bid.

"At the moment he has trained with Millwall and Palace,"
Dartford manager Tony Burman told skysports.com.

"They have asked about a valuation, we have given them a valuation that we would like to receive for Dave and the ball is in their court for both clubs.

Burman dismissed reports that Palace had already made a £75,000 bid for the player, but stressed that he would be keen to see Martin move up to a higher league.

"The figure that was quoted in the paper is obviously not right," Burman added.

"I'm not saying whether it is too low or too high, but what I will say is that we are a Ryman League South side and we want to see our players going up in the league.

"We are not going to stand in his way but we do require a fee for him and both Crystal Palace and Millwall know what that is."
