Crystal Palace defender Nathaniel Clyne will hold talks with new boss George Burley next week in a bid to resolve his future. The young full-back has recently been linked with a move to Birmingham but Burley, who has lost Shaun Derry to QPR, will be determined not to lose any more of his prize assets. Burley's number two at Selhurst Park, Dougie Freedman, believes Palace is the best place for Clyne to develop his game and is hopeful they can persuade him to stay. Freedman told the Croydon Advertiser: "Nathaniel is a fantastic young player and we both feel he is still nowhere near his full potential. "We've spoken with him and told him he's already at the right club to develop and become an even better player. "George will sit down with all the players next week and have a face-to-face chat with them. We want Nathaniel to stay and hopefully he will see that's the right decision."
