Derby County will monitor the fitness of left-back Gareth Roberts, who has missed the last two matches with calf and ankle problems.Striker Chris Porter (hip) is still sidelined along with Rams defenders Russell Anderson and Jake Buxton, who both have groin injuries.

Crystal Palace are still without Darren Ambrose (leg), while defender Anthony Gardner (ankle) remains a doubt.

Edgar Davids is available again after being away on compassionate leave.

MATCH PREVIEW

Derby are yet to win at home this season and since a victory on the opening day, they have taken only two points from a possible 18. Their options up front have been limited but they also have problems at the back.

County are the only side yet to keep a clean sheet in the Championship, and they have also developed a habit of letting in late goals. No team in the division has conceded more goals in the final 15 minutes of matches than Nigel Clough's side, who have shipped five.

They can perhaps take comfort from the fact that Crystal Palace have managed only 28 attempts on goal this season - fewer than any other team in the division - and are yet to score away in the league.

Eagles boss George Burley, who was in charge at Derby between March 2003 and June 2005, has seen his team fail to score in three of their last four league games, and win only one of their last seven matches.
