Burley- Young guns did well

Manager George Burley hailed his Crystal Palace kids after the Championship club sneaked into the Carling Cup second round with a late 1-0 win at Yeovil. A stoppage-time goal by Alan Lee gave the Eagles victory in a pulsating tie at Huish Park. Yeovil had themselves threatened a late winner but Palace broke quickly and substitute Kieron Djilali got in a cross from the left and Lee beat the defence to shoot into the roof of the net. Burley said: "I have got a lot of good young kids, and we showed that. Nathaniel Pinney had his first full game. Wilfried Zaha came on in the second half, and he's just 17. `Kieron Cadogan is just 19, and he also did well. There are a lot of youngsters in the team." The Scot added: "The Championship is a hard league, and this game was hard also, but there are a lot of good things that we can take out of the game. "We played well for 20 minutes and then lost our way but we got back into the game in the last 20 minutes."
