George Burley insisted he was relishing the challenge of steering Crystal Palace out of relegation trouble after their 3-0 home defeat to Swansea. The Eagles boss conceded his side had been second best against the Swans, who scored through Scott Sinclair, Darren Pratley and Joe Allen. Burley said: "It's a challenge. It's always a test of character in these situations. But that's life and football. "We are trying to build something long term here and it was never going to be short term." Burley added: "We were eventually well beaten by the best footbaling side we have had against us this season. We knew how they would play so we tried to match them. At times they ran us ragged as they passed and moved the ball well."
