Crystal Palace manager George Burley hopes to add two more players to his squad in the next couple of days. Burley, installed as Paul Hart's successor last month, expects Southend's Adam Barrett and Andy Dorman of St Mirren to move to Selhurst Park following last week's arrival of defender David Wright from Ipswich. Burley told the South London Press: "We're looking to complete a deal for Adam and his arrival will give us competition because the only centre-backs we've got are Claude Davis and Paddy McCarthy. "Andy is an attacking midfielder who can score goals and has been playing regularly in the Scottish Premier League. He's out of contract and we're hoping to complete that."
