Northern Ireland international Tony Capaldi will not be joining Crystal Palace, manager George Burley has confirmed. The former Plymouth and Cardiff left-back has been on trial over the summer and played the last 20 minutes of their pre-season friendly at Brentford on Friday. But Burley has confirmed Capaldi will not be starting the npower Championship season at Selhurst Park. He told the South London Press: "There was a hiccup and we couldn't manage to finalise the deal so we'll be looking again at that position." Another man not remaining with Palace is former Ipswich midfielder Velice Sumulikoski, who has been told his trial is at an end, while Burley is hopeful of making a move for Leicester's Matt Oakley. "I've spoke to Leicester but nothing has been agreed," he added. "He would give us something different. We're looking to add to the squad and he is the right type of player."
