George Burley felt his Crystal Palace side showed their inexperience after the dramatic 2-1 defeat by QPR. Former Eagles boss Neil Warnock looked like he would have to settle for a draw against his old club after Kieron Cadogan had cancelled out Adel Taarabt's opener. But Heidar Helguson's header three minutes into injury time secured another win for the leaders. Burley said: "After conceding a bad goal we hung on and created a number of opportunities. "Maybe we were a bit naive after scoring the goal and should have gone on the front foot not the back foot. I'm disappointed for the players."
