Darren Ambrose has ended speculation about his future by signing a new three-year contract with Crystal Palace. The 26-year-old midfielder, who scored 22 goals to help keep the Eagles in the Championship last season, had been heavily linked with a move to QPR for a reunion with former boss Neil Warnock. But he has now put a stop to the talk and handed new Palace manager George Burley a welcome boost on the eve of the new season. "It's been a hard few months with all the speculation about my future, but I am delighted to be signing the new contract," he said on the club's official website. "I have always wanted to remain at this football club and I am pleased it is all resolved." Burley, who gave Ambrose his break at Ipswich, added: "After all the speculation it is great to see Darren sign and that is a great bonus for everyone at the football club."
