Darren Ambrose's £750,000 switch from Crystal Palace to QPR is on hold after the Eagles dramatically avoided going bust on Tuesday. The administrators in charge at Palace were poised to begin the liquidation process, namely selling the club's players, at 3pm with Ambrose due to be the first to go as a deal with Rangers was already in place. But the CPFC 2010 consortium finally managed to agree a deal to take the club over in principle and they will now decide on player sales and are likely to want to keep the 20-goal midfielder. Ambrose has a year left on his current contract.
