Crystal Palace midfielder Darren Ambrose insists the players are 100% behind boss George Burley and are determined to help him turn around the club's fortunes. The 26-year-old returned from a knee injury that has kept him out for 11 weeks to play the last 30 minutes of the 3-0 defeat to Swansea on Saturday - a result which left Palace rooted to the bottom of the table. Ambrose believes the Eagles are a better side than their league position suggests and has urged the experienced players to step up to the plate and display the resilient qualities needed to dig the team out of their rut. He told the Croydon Guardian: "I have been there before and so have some of the other lads and we are the ones that have to get the troops going. "We are better than what we are showing results wise and we are all 100 per cent behind the gaffer. There will be rumours going around saying the manager and the players have to go but we need to concentrate on the situation in hand and show a bit more fight and commitment to the cause. "It's frustrating we are bottom of the league. We are not the worst team in this division - we are not the best but we are not the worst. It's now down to us experienced players and the manager and the staff."
