Darren Ambrose could make a shock return to the Crystal Palace team to play Swansea on Saturday. The Eagles top scorer from last season has been on the sidelines since August with a badly bruised bone just below his knee which has kept him out of action for much longer than first expected. Palace boss George Burley was convinced the game against Brendan Rodgers' high-flying Swansea would come too soon for the midfielder but after Ambrose played 25 minutes in a reserves game, Burley admitted his star man may feature at the weekend. "Darren played a good portion of the match and came through it very well which was better than we had first hoped for" he told This is Croydon. "We weren't expecting him to be fit for the weekend but after seeing him play I wouldn't rule him out."
