The Metropolitan Police and the F.A. are to investigate an alledged incident, which took place during the match with Bradford on Tuesday evening. The incident revolves around Trevor Francis "cuffing" Aleks Kolinko around the ear following Bradford's goal. Francis looked into the dug out when Bradford scored and saw Kolinko laughing with some of the other players. Francis went to the big Latvian and, in his own words "cuffed him around the ear". The incident was reported to the referee by the 4th official, and he promptly sent Francis to the stand. Francis later told Sky Sports News that it was just a bit of fun, but clearly that was not Kolinko's view, and he later made an official complaint to the Police.
